Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir: a red grape with a dense bunch and small berry that has made many wines great in the world, first and foremost in Burgundy. It is also vinified in the New World, in the Americas, in Italy, especially in the North-East and Lombardy, a little bit everywhere in the world as long as there are adequate temperatures so that they do not make it too hot, canceling its elegance.

P.N. is an ambitious and demanding vine, it demands a lot from both the winemaker and the winemaker.

Its capricious character is a challenge for the most daring producers who with great dedication will be able to capture and enhance a wide range of sensory emotions without equal.

Sensual, transparent but above all of enormous personality: it is one of the few vines in the world to be able to represent geography with expressive variety; of every place where it has its roots, it will be able to express exclusive characteristics of the land that nourishes it, different from place to place, even at minimum distances.

Delicate tannins, velvet on the palate, sweet fruit of raspberry and strawberry, nose of violet and spicy finish, Pinot Noir offers hilarious surprises even after long aging.

Variety with very ancient origins, the result of a selection of wild plants created by man more than 2000 years ago, over the years the clonal selection has made the 115 the most cultivated clone in Burgundy and Champagne.

It is a plant that germinates early and this makes it a warrior with the likely spring frosts that hit Burgundy every year. It does not like humid soils because it is easily subject to downy mildew, powdery mildew and rottenness. It prefers calcareous soils in rather cold climates, where maturity occurs more slowly and the berry can retain all the aromas and acidity.

These are just some of the reasons that make it one of the most refined and charming in the world.
