Un vino tra storia e leggenda. Le vigne sembrano sospese su un balcone che spazia verso sud, con minime angolature a ovest, verso Pernand e a est in direzione di Ladoix. Il terreno è solido, del Giurassico Superiore, cioè con marne, però inframezzate da strati di calcare profondi tra 10 e 20 centimetri. La pendenza s’abbassa dai 300 ai 250 metri. In cima alla collina il calcare si colora di marrone, proprio dove inizia il bosco, le cui radici diventano protettrici verso l’erosione e le fronde degli alberi sono una barriera per il vento. Le radici che affondano nella stratificazione della marna con gli inframezzamenti di calcare succhiano una mineralità dal carattere unico e straordinario e creano un’eruzione rocciosa che gli storici della denominazione Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru sintetizzano con un’efficace definizione: mineralità con talentuosa eleganza.

The story of Bonneau du Martray began two centuries ago, now led by Jean-Charles Le Bault de la Moriniere, who rejected his work as an architect to dedicate himself to wine since 2004.
This company is located in the city of Pernand-Vergelesses, in the hills of Corton because of this it has its name. The vineyard is one and only and it is divided into 25 parcels that are vinified separately,
From this cellar are produced two great wines, both Grand Cru: the white obtained from chardonnay, and the red obtained from pinot black. The company has been working on biologic since 2004, having less pecentage of yielding per hectare and doing strong selection both in the field and in the cellar. Thanks to that they obtain an exceptional wine ready to be tasted!
