To deny those who believe that wines of great complexity and finesse cannot derive from the sauvignon blanc, just take a trip to the easternmost part of the central French vineyards, in the small town of Pouilly-sur-Loire where this grape expresses its full potential, and the resulting wine takes on a typicality and recognisability that is not found in other parts of the world and which has little to envy to the most celebrated Chardonnay and Riesling.

Three Senses

Deep straw yellow in color, on visual examination it portends great stuff, which is evident on the nose in a great aromatic intensity with herbaceous and gooseberry scents mingling with the smell of flint, to which are added notes of citrus, elderflower and green bell pepper. In the mouth it is literally amazing, soft and full but at the same time delicate and balanced, with a remarkable persistence.
