Dom Perignon Rosè reveals a new aspect of wine through a reinterpretation of the Dom Perignon style. Pinot Noir, present in all its exuberance, defines the balance of Dom Perignon and illuminates the style with a different, unique, surprising perspective. Pushing the limits of Dom Perignon even further. The 2003 vintage can be summarized using the adjective "extraordinary": like no other has been distinguished by extremes. The vingeti are first hit by the great spring frosts, then by an unprecedented torrid decline. The harvest is small, but the grapes are perfectly ripe and healthy and the extraordinary weather events make this harvest the earliest for many years.
The color is strong, with light amber and coppery reflections. The liveliness, richness and complexity of the bouquet make it provocative. First of all meet the ripe fruit, then the fig and wild strawberry as the wine grows and breathes, thus revealing guava, violet and vanilla. The mouth is concentrated and remarkably defined. The extension is structured, fleshy. The silky, spicy consistency blends very gradually into a mineral, iodine and salt persistence.
Born in 1959 for Richard Geoffrey is the brother of the Blanc or not trivially the Dom Perignon in pink, but a different wine in which everything is done to minimize tannins and eliminate all traces of bittering notes. The part in red is produced by a specially selected vineyard in which the thinning clearly reduces the yield to just 40 q / h. Dosage 6.5 g / l
