Rated as excellent by the Rioja Regulatory Council. The amount collected in about 154 hectares of vineyards in operation during 2001, corresponding to the four properties owned by us, was 892,065 kg of grapes. The quality was extraordinary because the summer was very dry and therefore not prone to the development of parasitic insects and fungal diseases. The fruit arrived in the cellar in perfect greeting. The harvest began with the white grapes on Monday 8 October and the ink a week later, on 15, dated normal for Rioja Alta. Passed with good weather conditions lasting 21 days, being completed on 29 October. The grapes showed excellent fruit ripeness, perhaps even excessive in our area, which is located in Rioja Alta, due to its altitude and latitude, it is to limit the cultivation of the vine for main reasons of solar influence. The wines were a great balance and a very good advocate and long bottle aging.
