Primitive 14 derives from vines composed of old saplings and spurred cordon vines. The skins remain in contact with the must for ten twelve days, then mature in steel for at least twelve months. It is excellent as a pairing on grilled meat and at the stove, but also on aged cheeses.

Three Senses

Deep ruby ​​red color with garnet reflections. Enveloping aromas of ripe plum, cherry and plum, accompanied by flavors of thyme, tobacco and licorice. Polvanera Primitivi

Filippo Cassano is one of the ones that has the agriculture in his blood: for generations his family has worked the vine. In 2003 he decided to give life to his ambitious project: to enhance the primitivo and other native grape varieties. Hehas bought and restored an historic farmhouse in the district of Gioia del Colle, la Marchesana, in which from 1860 to 1880 already had hosted precious primitivo trees.

Polvanera comes from the characteristic dark color of the lands surrounding the farm. Having near the masseria the modern cellar. Karst rock, constant temperature and humidity throughout the year are the key ingrediendts for the refinement of wines.
