Verdicchio Il Priore Frati Bianchi 2021
The vines since 1970 are located on an area of 5 ha. The hand made harvest is in boxes and than vinified 6 months in steel. Bottle-aging lasts 4 months. Frati Bianchi takes its name from the Hermitage which is so close to the vineyards and that gave rise to the spread of the culture of the vine. The label, hand drawn by Cinzia Tonini, wife of Joseph Sparapani, tells about hermitage Prior, of Mount San Vicino that benevolent overlooking the production area of Verdicchio and above all love for this lush territory.
In the heart of the Marche region, the Hermitage of the White Friars is an enchanted place. An ancient Camaldolese monastic complex with caves carved out of the tufa that preserves intact the magic of time and traditions. Here the truly uncontaminated nature has welcomed and protected over the centuries the prayer and work of the
"White Friars", that is they mainly occupied forest agronomy and agriculture. From this place where peace and silence reign, the farmers of the district inherited love for the cultivation of the vine. And this magical place has inspired the Sparapani family to make great wines, the result of work and passion.
The goal of quality without compromise. The 12 hectares of Verdicchio vine of property do the rest. Verdicchio has a white berry and is grown exclusively in Le Marche region, with Cupramontana as its capital. It is a generous, versatile grape, capable of producing, vinified in purity, both fresh wines and very structured wines capable of remarkable longevity. It is also used to produce sparkling wines, both classic and Charmat methods, always of great value. The Sparapani vineyards also enjoy an ideal microclimate, of the right altitude and of a particularly favorable terrain. The natural qualities of these elements are finally enhanced by the constant scientific control of all stages of maturation, and by the careful selection guaranteed by manual harvesting.
