Giacomo Conterno has been producing wine since 1920 when the wines were produced from grapes purchased in the best vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Over the years the vines have been bought, up to the current 17 hectares cultivated following the principles of the integrated struggle. The cultivated varieties are Nebbiolo and Barbera, both bred in the Cascina Francia and Ceretta vineyards. In the cellar there is a cleanliness and a rigor of remarkable quality, every barrel, every steel tank, every tool are in perfect order, ready to interact to create the magnificent wines known all over the world, like this barolo harvested in mid-October, whose collection and selection process is done manually. Fermentation lasts 30-40 days, malolactic fermentation takes place completely, maturation takes place in oak barrels for about 48 months.
