The company is located in Cupramarittima, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, managed by Marco Casolanetti and his wife Eleonora Rossi who with passion have given life to a wine that many consider among the best Italian wines. Rosso IGT Kurni is produced with Montepulciano grapes in purity. The very low production per hectare, at the most 2 bunches of grapes are left per vine, which means that the wine is very full of pigments, that the grapes are very healthy and at the same time sugary. Fermentation with maceration on the skins lasts until in early December, taking care to use both stainless steel and wood barrels based on the evolution of musts. Then you go to the assembly of the various batches in new oak barrels for 10 months and here the only intervention will be the repeated batonnages to ensure that the wine is loaded with tannin, aromas and longevity. After the first period in barriques, a second one follows, always with a scrupulous use of new wood.
