The very low yield per hectare, the harvesting of fully ripened grapes, the fermentation and maturation in small oak barrels allow this wine to acquire a mighty and elegant structure. The contact with the wood and the long stop in the bottle enrich its elegant and persistent aromatic vein. It is very long-lived wine if well preserved. Area of origin of the hilly area of Montecarotto
Medium-textured soil, with areas rich in clay alternating with sandy areas
Harvesting of full-ripened grapes with soft crushing of intact bunches, cold must cleaning and fermentation in French oak barrels
Aging in barriques for 12 months with batonage, bottle aging for at least one year in a temperature controlled room.
Yellow color with golden hues, brilliantComplex and fine bouquet with hints of ripe fruit and yellow flowers that combine with vanilla hints of wood
Garofoli
"We have been practicing the art of being together for five generations". This is how the Garofoli company presents itself, starting the production and sale of local wines with Antonio Garofoli in 1871. The production rests on a total of about 50 hectares of property, in the municipalities of Montecarotto, Anoca and Castelfidardo, where the cellar is also located main, dedicated to reds, special vinifications, refinements and aging. The Verdicchio grapes are instead processed in the Serra de 'Conti cellar, an area suitable for Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. Garofoli is an established and appreciated reality both locally and worldwide. Of the approximately 1.6 million bottles produced annually, 60% go beyond national borders to reach aficionados from all over the world.
