Raveneau
The Domaine Raveneau is an institution in Chablis. Managed by Bernard Raveneau and his brother Jean Marie, this 9 hectares estate creates wines unanimously recognized as the quintessence of Chablis. Spring frosts in the 50's and 60's caused the destruction of the wine heritage of the region. Thanks to the determination and the hard work of the Raveneau and Dauvissat families (in the first row), this region can now offer incredible wines, established in the Burgundian patrimonium of wines and in the entire world. The warm climate of the early 2000s is a blessing for the Chablis vigneron, who have always feared the frosts. The Chardonnay today is very well expressed even in less excellent ages, always arriving to a perfect maturation. The unique style of this Domaine is recognized today in this rare fusion of rigor, austerity, wealth and complexity.
