Barbaresco Ceretto 2018
Barbaresco Ceretto comes from the blend of the most representative climat of the denomination and is the very symbol of the municipality of Barbaresco, capable of surprising for its finesse and power, for its disarming elegance and longevity. The vineyard surface descends to the foot of the hill passing from 290 meters at the top, up to 200 meters at the bottom of the valley. The lands are sengati from the presence of Marne di S. Agata Fossili and the exposure is South / South West. Ceretto owns the jug of the hill, just over one hectare, which for particular nuances can be considered almost an autonomous production context. The grapes of this vineyard are vinified in purity starting from the first half of the 70s.
Ceretto
The story of the Ceretto family begins almost a century ago in the Langhe. And a company so "young" and so dynamic does not exist today in the Italian landscape. In fact, you never end up investing in the future. Visiting the company, it really seems to be in a workshop of ideas, developed by highly-prepared appassionate owners. Today's estate counts about 160 hectares, where the most famous wines are produced on the nobles cru of Barolo and Barbaresco, such as Bricco Asili in Barbaresco, Bricco Rocche by Castiglione Falletto. Other vineyards are those of Santo Stefano Belbo with the Muscat and the Monsonal Estate in Roero. The range of products offered has been enriched for some time even with the noble sweet productions of Piedmont after the acquisition by Ceretto of the Relanghe company. Another piece in the history of the Ceretto that binds the family to the territory, which they can give their best expression since vinification from the early sixties only grapes owned in the best cru of Piedmont.
