All of the wines of the Qvevri line are vinified and refined in Georgian terracotta amphorae produced by one of the last craftsmen in the remaining sector: Zaaliko Bodjadze. The grapes are left to macerate on the skins for different times depending on the vine they come from. Afterwards the various wines were assembled and the mass remained refined in qvevri until September.

Three Senses
Amphorae are an extraordinary container for making wines of much complexity, well balanced. This process also happens in Anna Martens' Nerello, which, strong in its complexity released from the old vines , goes down deep with an authentic and sublime lightness.

Anna Martens

Anna Martens is of Australian origin. After her graduation she worked in different countries until she found employment in Ornellaia. In 2005, she visited Etna  for the first time and fell
in love with its environment and its centuries-old vineyards. She and her husband Eric Narioo, founder of the distribution Les Caves de Pyrene and big fan of natural wine (it is a fundamental part of the Terroir project, the renowned natural wine bar in London).

She decided to establish himself in this beautiful paradise to make wine, according to their concept of wines. And start experimenting a way to make wine with amphorae and indigenous yeasts, maceration and bottling without sulfur. Anna is now a reference point for many young people who vinified wines even outside the Etna so that a young man named Valerio Spampinato is now an integral part of the vineyard work that is performed on the "Vino di Anna" extract from a vineyard of over 90 years.
