Barolo Cascina Francia Giacomo Conterno 2018
Giacomo Conterno has been producing wine since 1920 when the wines were produced from grapes bought in the best vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Over the years the vines have been purchased, up to the current 17 hectares cultivated following the principles of integrated pest management. The cultivated varieties are Nebbiolo and Barbera, both bred in the Cascina Francia and Ceretta vineyards. In the cellar there is a cleaning and a rigor of remarkable quality, every barrel, every steel tank, every tool are in perfect order, ready to interact to create the magnificent wines known all over the world, like this barolo harvested in mid-October, whose collection and selection process takes place manually. The fermentation lasts 30-40 days, the malolactic fermentation is completely carried out, the maturation takes place in oak barrels for about 48 months.
