Metodo Classico Riserva Brut Ubaldo Rosi Colonnara 2016
Verdicchio grapes, a classic Riserva method that ripens on lees for 60 months. An excellence of the brands, awarded as the third best sparkling wine of Italy in 2013. The name reminds Ubaldo Rosi, who already in 1843 sensed the great potential of Verdicchio to be sparkling.
Soft green-gold reflections on a texture of a beautiful glossy straw yellow. The very fine perlage shows a long persistence. The perfume of an extreme finesse opens with a fresh intensity. The dry, full-bodied flavor has great complexity and persistence. To be enjoyed alone, for any occasion, or combined with shellfish and fish dishes of international cuisine. Not just appetizers, risottos and fries, but also with a good white truffle.
From the initiative of 19 farmers of Cupramontana in 1959 the cooperative Colonnara was founded. Today it has 110 members who give grapes of high quality, thanks to the particular microclimate of the Marche hills and to the Verdicchio variety, one of the great national vineyards.
The use of agricultural techniques and innovative technologies makes it possible to bring high quality wines and sparkling wines into the bottle. The motto that leads the members is that 'wine is made in vineyards', and in the cellar you can only educate it to present itself in the best way. The company's philosophy revolves around four key values: territorial enhancement, constant research, human resource assets, and the desire to enrich the range of products.
