Nando's Malvasia is vinified in purity from young vineyards with a short maceration on the skins. Only steel to enhance its aroma and freshness. It is bottled without filtration or clarification, with a minimum of sulfur addition.

Three Senses
The nose opens exotic, with light spice among which yellow curry stands out. Petals of dried flowers lend elegance and complexity. The mouth is dry, vinous, gently fresh. It leaves the palate clean and beckons to the glass.

Nando

Nando Winery

Nando is on horseback between the Italian and Slovenian Carso. Of the 5.5 hectares in fact, 60% is in the Italian Collio, 40% in Pleviso, Brda, in the Primorska region. Here the Mediterranean climate gives its best, together with the particular shape and composition of the soil, with the classic Slovene ponka. The vines are from 9 to 40 years of age and are grown in the traditional way on terraces at 100-200m above sea level, with the local varieties of Ribolla, Tocai and the international Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vineyards are conducted with not-certified organic farming, where the only treatments consist of copper and sulfur, spontaneous fermentations on indigenous yeasts and no chemical in vinification. The sulfur is added only prior to bottling. The company is in the hands of Andrej Kristancic, who grew up in a family of vintners, and has always carried on both the practical part of family work and the study path that allowed him to expand his views, albeit faithful to the traditions of his terroir. Nando is on the market with two different lines. A blue label, made of short macerations and steel, and a black label, with the most distinctive Slovenian style, with long macerations and wood fermentations. The latter are the classic orange Slovenes.
