Vigna Rionda of Luigi Pira is a vineyard of just one hectare in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, planted in 1994 with only Nebbiolo grapes. At 330m slm with a south/west exposure the plants play in perfect balance with clayey calcareous soil. Winemaking follows the traditional guidelines, with fermentation in horizontal vats at controlled temperature, which takes as long as 12/15 days, depending on the vintage. It then elevates 24 months in barrels and large woods.
