Chateau Pontet Canet was classified in 1855 as the Cinquieme Cru Classe, but it only changed three times. the large underground caves for winemaking, the pride of the Chateau, contain since 2004 the amphoras for wine-making. A real green revolution arrived at the chateau, after the first attempt had given wines that were much brighter and clearer. Monsieur Tesseron, very satisfied with the result, worked to bring the Chateau first to the Ecocert certification and then to the Biodyvin arrived in 2010. Today Pontet Canet manages its 80 hectares of vineyards in Biodynamic agriculture, therefore managing the vineyards with the horse, amphorae underground wine making and wine refinement, indigenous yeasts and spontaneous fermentations.
