Paleo Rosso Le Macchiole 2018
Another great wine from the 2018 harvest to be forgotten in the cellar. The paleo was the first red born in the Macchiole house. Nothing to date still better identifies the company of this great Cabernet Franc. The first vintage in 1992 was born with the cabernet franc and sangiovese. Then over time, other vineyards come into play, the one of Madonnina with biological cultivation, from where today all grapes are harvested for the composition of the Paleo. The wine after fermentation in cement and steel ages for 20 months in oak barrels.
The Paleo is Le Macchiole, the company's reference wine. First red born at home represents the estate in an excellent way, allowing the touch of romanticism to shine through; so much distinguishes Le Macchiole. Obtained from the vinification of Cabernet franc alone, it has hints of black fruits, sage, rosemary, chopped and spices. In the mouth è soft and graceful, with a silky smoothness; feminine and seductive. Pairings: Aristo baked marinated with tandoori and accompanied by pan-fried field shots.
Le Macchiole is one of the first companies born in Bolgheri, exactly in 1983. At that time, the area was known almost exclusively for the sea and peaches. Since then much has changed and today wine is certainly the protagonist. All this thanks to Cinzia Merli, who leads the company Le Macchiole together with her husband Eugenio. They Began with a few hectares and a new life project. Today, it is a well-rooted reality in a territory that has just found its identity, but above all a guarantee name in the world of wine for the whole world.
