Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Vecchia Le Ragnaie 2018
The Vigna Vecchia of Le Ragnaie is a plant from the late 60s, with a display in the west and an average plant age of 50 years. For the production of this single vineyard Brunello a spontaneous fermentation is made on indigenous yeasts, with long macerations in cement tanks, to then refine in large wooden barrels.
Le Ragnaie
The Ragnaie farm was bought in 2002 by Riccardo and Jennifer Campinoti, with a precise idea of parcel selection, all to be defined in this spelndido central territory of Montalcino, with an altitude of 600 meters. The acqusitate vineyards date back to a 1987 plant, with an average age of about 40 years. With this heritage and a position that allows harvesting in October, Riccardo opted for a minimum intervention in the cellar, looking for spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts, in cement tanks, refining in wine in large wooden barrels. All this explains the refinement of Le Ragnaie wines.
