Il Carco is a red wine made of 100% Nielluccio grapes which represent the third grape variety in Corsica. The vineyard grows on clay-calcareous soil with exposure to the East. The Patrimonio production area is located near Bastia, in the north of Corsica, and it is recognized as one of the most interesting wine regions in Europe.The wine is processed with indigenous yeasts. Then it is left to macerate for 14 days, without pouring or pumping over. Aging takes place for 12 months in large barrels of 600-800 liters.
