100% hand-harvested Barbera from one of the most important estates in the Barolo Cru for the past 30 years. The vines are located at an altitude of 220-350 meters.
Harvesting is by hand, fermentation is carried out with temperature control.
Aging is extended for 15-18 months in steel tanks. There is no filtration before bottling.
Intense ruby red in color, the nose is fresh and fruity. The mouth confirms freshness, rather soft tannins and an important persistence. Perfect to pair with typical Piedmontese appetizers, first courses (also risottos) and white meats.
Brovia
The Brovia winery was founded in 1863 in Castiglione Falletto, Piedmont. A meticulous philosophy marked by respect for terroir, beyond fashions, gives the wines great personality. Elena and Cristina have, with seriousness, dedication, maximum commitment without ever getting too big for their boots, taken over the work of more than 60 vintages from their father Giacinto, who passed away in 2014.
Brovia's name evokes a very precise idea of what a great Barolo wants to be: gracefulness and elegance almost rarefied, to return with surgical constancy the moods of vineyards of superior stature such as Rocche, Villero and Garblet Sué in Castiglione Falletto, or Ca' Mia in Serralunga.
Vinification and aging take place without invasive technological interventions that would alter the natural expression of the harvested grapes.
