The Sagesse of Domaine Gramenon is the wisdom of 50-year-old grapes, mainly from Grenache, which grow in the Montbrison-sur-Lez vineyard. The soil is calcareous for the two particles at 300m of altitude, while sandy for the particle exposed to the south. The harvest is manual, with selection of the grapes, which ferment partially de-stemmed on indigenous yeasts in cement for 15 days. The aging is in barriques used for about 12 months. Unfiltered, it is bottled in November in Burgundy bottle with cork.

Three Senses
A wine to love, deep bright purple, vibrant in red and black fruits, teases the nose with floral mouthfeel and sharp salivation. Very pleasant persistence in the finish.

Gramenon

Gramenon

The estate, founded by Philippe Laurent in 1978, is located in Montbrison sur Lez, north of Orange, and is located within the Côtes du Rhône appellation.

At the helm of the Domaine is Michele Aubery-Laurent, who has continued the work of her husband, who died in tragic circumstances in the late 1990s.

Le Domaine has 26 hectares of property, planted mostly to Grenache, a grape that is excellently adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the area, with small percentages of other traditional varieties: Syrah, Cinsault, Clairette and Viogner.

The terroir is characterized by the massive presence of limestone, accumulated over the years, and the presence of a clay part carried instead by the river system.

Gramenon has been working its vineyards under organic farming since the beginning, but it is since 2010 that the winery has also received DEMETER certification.

Even in the winery, the attention to the grapes and wines is maximum. In fact, interventions are minimal: fermentations are free and the use of sulfur can be modest or zero. The production process is aimed at making incredibly succulent wines, and the quest for concentration gives way to drinkability.
