Patrick Piuze has gone from managing a wine bar in his native Québec to becoming one of Chablis’ most prominent rising stars. In 2008, after working for Olivier Leflaive, Verget and Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, Patrick started his own micro-négoce.

Montée de Tonnerre is the most noble Premier cru, which comes close to the Grand Cru for intensity and longevity. It extends from the city of Auxerre up to that of Tonnere where starts the ascent (Montée) of the hill. Fine and elegant texture to highlight the greatness of this cru. On the nose the mineral sensations explode, chalk, camphor, stone

Three Senses
Montee de Tonnere has a beautiful straw yellow colour and releases refined notes of apple, peach and white flowers. The interplay in the mouth is dictated by the acidity that shows the mineral part of the wine and a sumptuous volume thanks to a defined alcohol presence. Interwoven in good balance, they manage to give the wine depth and a certain pleasantness that means you do not have to wait years for this Chablis before finding it ripe.

Field and Patrick Piuze smiling

Chablis is the region that welcomed Patrick Piuze, the one where he creates a family and which allowed him to express his greatest passion: produce wines

Patrick Piuze has gone from managing a wine bar in his native Québec to becoming one of Chablis’ most prominent rising stars. In 2008, after working for Olivier Leflaive, Verget and Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, Patrick started his own micro-négoce.

Above all, he wants to respect the work of the ancestors who designed this terroir, and he tries to find with humility his identity as a winemaker in the splendor and diversity of the terroir of Chablis.

At the top of the Clos vineyards of the Grands Crus, towards the orientation table, the overview of the Chablisian allows Patrick to present the diversity of the terroirs of the appellation.

The work of monks and men offers the parcel division that we know today.

Terroir is the very foundation of Burgundy wines.

It's up to man and women to reveal the diversity and authenticity of this mosaic of climates by producing wines expressing the identity and typicity of each plot.
