Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Renato Ratti 2015
Rocche dell'Annunziata is absolutely the most coveted and renowned mention of La Morra. This splendid cru with exposure to the south east is synonymous with body, elegance and complexity. Not to be confused with Rocche di Castiglione which characterizes the Nebbiolo giving structure but which tend to be more expressive even in the first years of life. Rocche dell'Annunziata by Renato Ratti instead is a wine that is aging. You can store and drink until 2030/2035.
Rocche dell'Annunziata by Renato Ratti is a Barolo of modern style, with notes of sweet spices on the nose and a rich personality on the palate, characterized by a good progression and tasty tannins.
Renato Ratti
After Renato Ratti's untimely death at the end of the 80s, he took charge of the entire company and all the wealth left by his son Pietro, who had just graduated from the Alba school of oenology. The farm is located in the municipality of La Morra and is located just above the Conca vineyard. This is also the starting point for the study and the spread of the famous Carta del Barolo that Renato drew about 40 years ago and which first gave a "French" vision to the more French area of Itala. Pietro Ratti today has extended the market also abroad, carrying out a restructuring in the vine park, in search of greater ecological sensitivity. Together with Conca in the Ratti cellar, Barolo is also produced from the excellent vineyard of Rocche in the Annunziata district.
