Vigna Rionda by Luigi Pira is a vineyard of just one hectare in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, planted in 1994 with only Nebbiolo grapes. At 330m above sea level with a south-west exposure the plants play in perfect balance with the calcareous clay soil. The vinification follows the traditional guidelines, with fermentation in horizontal fermentation tanks at a controlled temperature that last for about 12/15 days, depending on the year. It then refines 24 months between barriques and large wooden barrels.
