It comes from a unique harvest for all the grapes that make up, Pinot Noir for a perfect bone structure, Pinot meunier for maturity, Chardonnay (one third of the total) for the acid shoulder. Pressed together they blend and harmonize in a single energy. It matures for 5 years in the Roederer cellars and another 6 months after disgorgement without dosage to reach the maturity of the massage.
The 2009 vintage was sunny, starting with a harsh and dry winter, a hot summer and an autumn with little exercise. The greeting of the vineyard, the maturity of the grapes, full and clean, have brought full-bodied and full-bodied wines, almost burgundy. The decision to make an agile cuvée on the clay has fully paid, bringing a bright and light champagne, tasty and ready to drink, with an almost abstract freshness and exceptional precision.
A golden yellow color enhanced by amber hints and a discreet and fine, almost evanescent perlage open to intense and complex scents, from flowers to yellow fruit, with a toasted hazelnut but also spices and citrus on a chestnut cream. The palate is immediately enveloped by a creamy spherical sensation, made light by savory freshness that relaxes the taste into a delicate smooth shape. The fruit is full, juicy. The finish is elegantly tart. spicy and formidably clean.
