The spearhead of Elio Sandri's possessions is the Vigna Disa, which stands in the middle of the hill in the MGA of Perno. This is the oldest vineyard on the property. Refinement lasting up to seven years takes place primarily in large wooden barrels and recorded in cask.
The oldest clones of Michet and Lampia that make up the Nebbiolo vineyard were planted in 1937. The perfect harmony of these vines with the perfect display of rich and full-bodied grapes.
Elio Sandri
Cascina Disa in Monforte d'Alba at the beginning of the XV Century was a settlement of Monks of the Abbey of Breme, in the area of Pavia, who already at that time used to produce wine in the Langhe area, following the rules of tradition.
Since 1965 it is the centre of the Agricultural Agency Giovanni Sandri, that continues the long used traditional wine-growing method of this land.
From his fields used for Barolo they get the more typical wines, result of the serious dedication to the cultivation of the vine and the rigorous respect to the traditional methods of wine-making. Today Cascina Disa is a place to discover the perfumes of good wines of the Langhe.
