The Fleurie 2020 was produced with grapes coming from the less suitable parcels as in La Madone it is strongly hailed and for this reason many of the grapes were lost. Unfortunately after the disastrous frost of 2016, it is found to have a shortage of product from the Beaujolais.

Three Senses
Fresh, direct, pure and lively with a salty, savory and spicy edge. Stony, with real fire and mineral drive. Delicious raspberry fruit assembling the details of perfect acidity.

Yvon Metras

Yvon Metras

Yvon Métras has roots in its own Beaujolais wineries and began making wine in its first wines in 1988, mainly selling its grapes to the cooperative. Influenced by Marcel Lapierre, Yvon Méras changed his winemaking practices and joined the lively group of producers of natural products at the time of only 4 producers. Jules Chauvet, scientist, demanding taster and winemaker, had given them (before he died in 1989) the research and knowledge he had accumulated over the years, with the result of producing a wine without modern corrections, without laboratory yeast , sugaring, filtration and ... without problems, to return the wines that were made centuries ago, but with greater scientific precision and care of the winemaking processes.
Yvon Metras is the truest interpreter of this philosophy, and can be deduced immediately from the equipment of his cellar where he still uses a light machine 50 years ago to work the vineyard and its cement containers for vinification in carbonic maceration. The vineyards extend for 5/6 hectares in total. Some grapes come from the excellent La Madone hill. The next maturation takes place in exhausted wood for about 18 months. All Yvon wines are sold without the addition of sulfur.
