Yamazaki is the distillery where the first Japanese whiskey was born in 1923.
Its history is linked to the dedication and tenacity of the founder, Shinjiro Torii, then seen as a madman.
Over the years he has managed to demonstrate that his was a vision capable of bringing Japan to compete and also excel with the best whiskeys in the world.
Yamazaki is the ideal territory for making whiskey, at the foot of Mount Tennozan south of Kyoto, it is a source of pure water, known as 'Rikyu no Mizu', the water of the imperial villa.
The Chita is the second distillery of Suntory specialized in grain whisky.
Since 1973, Suntory can also count on the precious spirits produced in the new Hakushu distillery, unique of its kind, built in the heart of the forest.
Since 2003 his Whiskeys have won prizes in the most prestigious international competitions.
