Nicolas Jacob's Trousseau takes its name from the vineyard located in the village of Augea near Revermont. In truth, the wine is the result of an assembly between this vineyard and a part of the Les Chazaux grapes, which differ in that the first grows on limestone soils and the second on soils mainly made up of marl. However, these splendid vineyards date back to the plants of the late 70s, early 80s.

Fermentation takes place entirely in fiberglass containers, obviously with indigenous yeasts. This is followed by nine months of aging in used barrels, more or less large

Nicolas Jacob

Nicolas Jacob labeled his first bottles in 2017, the reference vintage 2015. Certainly, from that moment on, a very high curiosity has been created in the Jura Lovers circuit. You want it because Nicolas, originally from the Jura region, took his first steps from Macle and then because he proposed himself as the right arm of Jean Francois Ganevat. You also want that his wines immediately recalled that Ganevat style, even with greater depth. Or because in its current 4 hectares partly also arranged in Rotalier, it has managed to recover some "wild" vineyards, no longer cared for by the elderly winemakers of the area but which certainly add something intriguing in the wines. The fact is that the few bottles available are increasingly difficult to recover and more and more convincing with each new vintage. We are therefore talking about a young boy, with a bright future ahead, and all the characteristics to enter the hearts of all Jura fans.
