The Dalmore is one of the most landmark distilleries for Scotch Whiskies and especially Single Malts. Founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, it boasts a very wide range of whiskies that are extremely complex and diverse from one another.

The distillery's history begins in 1263 with Colin of Kintail, Chief of Clan Mackenzie who, during a hunting trip in which he was accompanying King Alexander III of Scotland, saved his life from a stag attack. This act of extreme bravery resulted in Colin receiving the gratitude of the King, who gave him the lands of Eilan Donan, a small island in Loch Duich in the Western Highlands of Scotland. It also gave him the right to be able to use the symbol of the 12-pointed royal stag as the Clan's crest.

In 1867, two brothers from Clan Mackenzie took over The Dalmore distillery and decided to use the stag crest as the distillery's symbol, which still appears on every bottle today.

It is the only distillery to use 4 stills, different in shape and size. This contributes to the creation of sumptuous, layered blends and whiskies of legendary elegance.

The mastery and experience of Master Blender Richard Paterson, also known as “The Nose”, and his successor Greg Glass leads to a continuous search for the best casks that has also led to important alliances and friendships with one of the best Sherry producers, among others, Gonzales Byas.

Using the best barrels that have contained Sherry, Port, or other fine wines results in Whiskies of unparalleled quality.
