Nerominiera Rosè is a pure Carignano from sapling vineyards on ungrafted foot. The average age of the plants is 45 years and it grows on sandy soil. The depth of the roots ensures an exceptional supply of nutrients, and the wine is the perfect witness. After a manual harvest in small boxes, the vinification starts spontaneously on indigenous yeasts, in small vats without controlling the temperature and manual punching of the cap. The vinification takes place in white and the wine ages 6 months in steel. Bottled after natural decanting, without clarification or filtering.

Three Senses
Tasting Nerominiera in the rosé version one is immediately assured of the place where the wine is made. Gunpowder and a subtle tone of wilted flower come immediately into detail on the nose. It has a bright, luminous color this rosé from Carignano grapes, a gentleness and texture that can relax the senses. In the mouth it is sharp, without losing its way it runs snappy through the palate, leaving traces at times pulpy. The nerominiera Rosè is a bottle that we at Galli Enoteca recommend pairing with a durum wheat frisella with yellow and red summer tomatoes and moscioli di portonovo. Be sure to use the water from the mussels to soften the frisa. Enjoy the summer fun.

Enrico Esu

Enrico Esu Wineyard

Enrico Esu follows in the footsteps of his father Silvio, who in 1958 decided to plant 2.5 hectares of Carignano in the municipality of Carbonia. We are in south-west Sardinia, in the Sulcis area, a land of coal, mines and Carignano. The planting technique is the traditional one of Sulcis, "alberello" with narrow rows and high density, about 6,000 plants per hectare. From 1968 to 2004, another 8 hectares will be planted, again on mass selection of the cuttings. All the plants are ungrafted, on a sandy soil and with the cork oaks that surround the vineyards, letting the mistral filter through.

It is only since 2013 that Enrico Esu starts producing on his own with the aim of giving us a traditional Carignano, born from great manual work and using only sulfur and copper. Fermentations are spontaneous with macerations depending on the vintage which last about 10-12 days. Decanted and decanted, the wine ages in steel or oak depending on the type. Bottled by hand in the cellar, all the reds are Doc since 2015.

"Our goal is to preserve the tradition that distinguishes our Carignano vine: Alberello su Sabbia a Piede Franco."
