Belo Slavcek 2021

Belo by Slavcek is the perfect table wine, genuine and straightforward, versatile and tasty. The result of a white grape blend of Ribolla, Chardonnay, Malvaisa Istriana and Friulano. Macerates for 2 days on the skins, ferments spontaneously in large oak barrels, in which it refines, and then passes into steel. In this Slovenian plot of land, in the Vipava Valley and rich in Marne, the 26-year-old vineyards benefit from a privileged exposure.

Slavcek di Franc Vodopivec was born in 1769 and has always been family-owned and strictly family-run. Slavcek means 'nightingale', a variety that populates the neighborhood in a multitude of flocks. The almost 11 hectares of vineyards rest on a steep slope rich in rocky and marly substances, which give the wine a characteristic mineral flavor.

Always organic and now also certified, the use of only copper and sulfur in minimal doses and a great manual work allow to have rich and healthy grapes. In the cellar, generations have handed down a way of working that is based on precision and wisdom to achieve maximum harmony and respect for the peculiarities of each grape variety in the wines.
