This Barbagia Rosso IGT 2019 from Teularju's winery comes from the 2-hectares Ghirada Ocruarana. In the Sardinian tradition, the ghirada (or mamoiadino) is a plot of vineyard bordered by walls or "capezzagne" (in France these are the Cru).

The exposure of the soils is north-west and their composition is sandy, rich in organic matter and clay. The vineyard is 3 years old and the chosen training system is the high "alberello" system. The yield per hectare is 37 q.

After harvesting, which begins in October, and a maceration of about 15 days, there is soft pressing and spontaneous fermentation.
Aging of at least one year takes place in 50hl French oak barrels.

There is a production of about 6000 bottles.

Teularju Az. Agr. - Mamoiada

Teularju is Francesco Sedilesu's family business established in 2017 with the planting of the Teularju vineyard.

After an initial moment of doubt since, it was said, the place did not seem to be very suitable for viticulture, Francesco visited the area and fell deeply in love with it. He affirms, "As soon as we arrived, the vision of a very beautiful terrain opened up before me, I took in the fine spring air, at the top of my lungs and I looked up, the mountain of Gonare stood before me majestically. It was love at first sight, the bond that was established between that land and me was immediate: "the place is very beautiful, the wine will be good," I said to myself." And so it was!

The 8-hectare vineyard is divided into four "Ghiradas" characterized by different soils and exposures. In the Sardinian tradition, the ghirada (or mamoiadino) is a plot of vineyard bordered by walls or capezzagne (in France these are the Cru).

From these Ghiradas, vinified individually, the wines Ocruarana, Caragonare, Erula and Rizza come.
