Claudio Plessi's Tarbian comes from the version of Trebbiano defined as Modenese.

A still wine whose vinification involves a light maceration on the skins (of about a week) and an aging in chestnut and cherry barrels, a typical choice in the Modenese hills.

A complex wine but at the same time suitable for everyday consumption, in which to find both a curious and delicate oxidation and a firm and full sip.

Three Senses
Characterized by a bright yellow, slightly amber color, Claudio Plessi's Tarbian is characterized by its citrusy yet floral hints.Excellent pairings are with blue cheeses, white meats, spices and dried fruits.

Claudio Plessi - Castelnuovo Rangone (Mo)

Cantina Claudio Plessi

Claudio Plessi's farm is located in the province of Modena in the municipality of Castelnuovo Rangone.

Always focused on a sustainable and respectful style of agriculture, the conversion path to organic began in 1986 and was later certified in 1993.

Claudio Plessi's goal is to, through studies of the land and agricultural heritage, recover and process ancient and almost disappeared native varieties, producing single-varietal wines.
The farm soils are rich in limestone and, given the presence of the Rio dei Gamberi and Torrente Tiepido rivers, can be considered alluvial.

The area is often affected by spring frosts, so the productive vine belt is concentrated at the top. Usually there are no problems related to oidium but, rather, damages related to peronospera are considerable.
