Primo Passaggio is a blend composed of Grillo and Vedejo grapes in equal parts. The vineyards are exposed to the North West in the area called Terre Rosse. For Primo Passo the harvest is a ladder, which involves different harvests in the same vineyards at different times. Grapes with the same level of ripeness, skin color and position of the bunch in relation to the sun are selected. Primo Passaggio is called this because it is the fruit of the first pressing which remains in contact with the skins overnight. The wine is not filtered or clarified before bottling.

Three Senses
The bright color is a harbinger of the intensity that the wine takes on, bringing with it many of the aromas and flavors of Sicily. Mediterranean notes of prickly pear and citrus fruit together with an enveloping palate are the balance that derives from the union between Grillo, a vine with a full and earthy body, slender from Verdejo with its herbaceous and acidic character.

Badalucco de la Iglesia Garcia

Winery Badalucco de la Iglesia Garcia

Badalucco de la Iglesia Garcia is a name that one wonders about first of all because of its origin. In fact, to describe this winery we must start by placing the pointer on Sicily and precisely between Mazara del Vallo and Marsala. Pierpaolo Badalucco was born in this territory, the last of a generation of workers in close contact with the land. Precisely on these Red Lands the vine, thanks also to the proximity of the sea, finds fertile soil.

When Pierpaolo meets Beatriz in her home region of Andalusia, he also finds many similarities with the vineyards in the Jerez area. With great tenacity and passion he convinced Beatriz de La Iglesia Garcia to move to Sicily and continue to safeguard the family genetic heritage, enriching it with two Spanish vines, Tempranillo and Verdejo, thus creating a synergy between Italy and Spain. This also explains why their company is called Dos Tierras.
