Tasting

Historical and unrepeatable vertical tasting of Natalino Crognaletti's perpetual method: San Lorenzo, in all the vintages produced to date and in magnum version. 

Il San Lorenzo in a sip:

A white Marche of great class, produced only in favourable vintages capable of expressing the best of the terroir. It matures for about 140 months in stainless steel and cement, then a further 12 months in the bottle.

The long ageing on its own yeasts characterises this white wine from Verdicchio grapes, dressing it in a unique light. The nose first expresses itself with notes of lemongrass, which are the ultimate expression of evolving Verdicchio, and then continues with fresher tones of mint, and denser ones of honey and apricots. The sip is incredibly gentle yet opulent and fat. The tenacity of the vine is extremely relaxed in this version. First among the experimenters in the area, Natalino unquestionably receives the sceptre of the one who succeeds in extracting unique characters from Verdicchio.
