This box contains:
Jardin d'Orfeuil 2020: rosé wine made entirely from Grenache grapes, carefully selected to best express the characteristics of the local terroir. Harvesting is by hand and fermentation is by indigenous yeasts only. Aging lasts for two years and cement tanks are used.
La Montagne 2021: a red wine consisting mainly of Grenache and Cinsault. For La Montagne, there is manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentation with a short maceration that promotes a non-excessive extraction of tannins. The wine then matures in wood or cement barrels (depending on the vintage).
Le Ruisseau 2023: a red wine made from Carignan grapes (with other small additions depending on the vintage). Fermentation is spontaneous and prolonged maceration on the skins allows the wine to gain structure and complexity. Aging is conducted in concrete tanks.
Les Traverses 2023: blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. This wine comes from old vines between 50 and 100 years old. It is aged in steel tanks.
Terre d'Ombre 2023: from the oldest estate vineyard, planted in the 1920s, and still managed by Eric with true manic care. A blend of Carignan, Clairette and Bourbolenc.
Tavel Vintage 2020: this Vintage cuvée comes from a unique terroir. In fact, vines of Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette, Carignan and Mourvèdre, about 70 years old, were planted in a single plot. Tavel's selection is born only in the best vintages and aged for more than 12 months in a 600-liter demi-muid.
Domaine De L'Anglore is Eric Pfifferling, a nice vintner, who loves nature thanks to the bees. The Domaine now has 10 hectares in the municipality of Tavel, between Avignon and Uzes. The soils are mainly calcareous clay, composed of sandy and stony structures. Grapes, cinsault, clairette, carignan, mourvèdre, sirah are cultivated in the vineyards. Eric Pfifferling, a supporter of organic farming, has recently gained certification for his bottles. The vintage is hand-picked, the bunches are placed in cassettes. After a initial maceration, the wine making is carried out with a whole grain for carbonated maceration. Eric Pfifferling today stands at the top of the qualitative pyramid in France of wines obtained according to this process. The wines are not filtered, they are laid out to leave their natural properties intact. In the wines of Eric Pfifferling, the maker's excellence is highlighted, which in this country of aggressive red and red roses creates delicate finery of masterpieces.
