Tenuta La Fiaminga - Van De Sype - Levizzano Di Castelvetro

The winery was officially founded in 2020 at the behest of Sebastian Van De Sype with the help of his wife, with the conviction of producing wines without compromising on quality, and with full respect for natural balances. Sebastian is an engineer of Belgian origin, and for a large part of his life has been involved in business and Formula 1. Thanks to the advice of his friend and supervising partner Frank Cornelissen, Sebastian was able to implement his innovative project. 

The area planted with vines is almost 10 hectares, half of which is planted with Grasparossa grapes (the vines are on average 20 years old) and a small portion planted with Trebbiano. 

The production philosophy is based entirely on the ‘ancestral method’ and the ‘traditional method’, with the fermentation process finalised in the bottle. The aim is to provide a natural product of quality, expressing the vine to its full potential and avoiding ‘industrial’ or ‘corrective’ techniques.  Treatments are carried out completely within the limits of European organic standards.  

The re-fermented Lambrusco is a Lambrusco Grasparossa from vineyards that are about 15 years old, using frozen must for the second fermentation in the bottle. A precise, spicy and vegetal wine, with a sip that expresses great freshness, balsamicity and crispness at the same time.
