Il Bianco comes from four rows of Grechetto Gentile, the result of massal selection from an ancient estate in the Bolognese hills. Acacia barrels lend softness while fully respecting the character of the grape variety. It’s a broad, expressive wine that seems not to belong to this flatland. The grapes are hand-harvested into 250 kg perforated bins, destemmed separately from the others, and vinified as a white wine. Fermentation is spontaneous, using indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 6 months in acacia tonneaux and a further 12 months in the bottle. No fining or filtration is performed at the time of bottling.

Three Senses
The wine displays a very bright yellow color. On the nose, it immediately reveals a bold personality: alternating fruity and delicately floral notes. On the palate, it is soft yet extremely pleasant to drink, with a lively interplay of saline and acidic tones that give it a long, elegant finish.

Gianluca Bergianti is a young winemaker, hungry for wine and thirsty for knowledge. In 2008, together with his wife Simona, he founded the Terrevive farm in the hamlet of Gargallo di Carpi, in the province of Modena. He has a clear vision and follows the principles of biodynamics without treating them as dogma. His main goal is the quality of the grapes he brings to the cellar. He judges his own wines and explores those of others. His work is driven by great enthusiasm, and his winery reflects both rationality and aesthetic taste. The wines are an expression of agricultural complexity; they are not the mere result of agronomic or oenological techniques, but the fruit of a living system that enhances their depth and diversity. Lambrusco can only be seen as the ideal companion for traditional Emilian cuisine.
