Cantina del Barone
Here it is at last !!!! An exhilarating bottle after many useless tastes. This was our expression when we tasted it for the first time, the wine of Luigi Sarno. And after this first tasting we started the hunt for the young producer, acclaimed by the press, a little less from tasting commissions. It is because the Fiano of the Cantina del Barone is so good that the bottle was finished fast with joy and pleasure. Although from 2012 the Luigi Fiano is downgraded from commissions tasting of PDO that instead of reading in a wine like these something simply spontaneous and coming from a young talent they confermed their narrow mind tightened in those static mechanisms.
In the Barone's Cellar in fact the wine is left to express, without following oenological practices, although Luigi is a graduate of the faculty of Enology. The company was created by his father Antonio, who until 1998, gave the grapes to Mastroberardino. It is located in the south of Avellino, not far from the city, under Candida that is similar in the soil composition (loose soils and stony) . The wines produced are Fiano Paone and Particle 928, came from a single vineyard, vinified separately and growing on volcanic soil.
