Varniere-Fannière
In 1947 Jean FANNIERE, decided to produce his Champagne, after having supplied the grapes for years the houses of other champagne producers.
Success follows quickly, thanks to the high quality of the Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes from Avize. From a few hundreds of bottles of Champagne during the early years, Jean FANNIERE sells about 10,000 bottles of champagne a year in 1959, when daughter Josette and son-in-law Guy varnier (mother and father of Valerie) they become owners of the farm.
The latter will then extend the ownership to the Grand Cru lands of Cramant and Oger, the 2 neighboring villages of Avize.
Real passionate and eternal lover, Denis was entirely dedicated to Champagne. He could not spend a day, an hour, not to mention his champagne.
This passion has passed on to Valerie, his sister and she is trying to preserve it every day.
That's why Valerie does things for him and for the Varnier Fannière brand.
