Tom Shobbrook
After returning from Italy in 2007, Tom began to look for ways to bring his experience gained around the world in the field of viticulture, to produce a new range of Australian wines, with their own style.
Tom wins the Gourmet Young Australian Winemaker of the Year and a medal as the best new talented vigneron. All its cuvées are biodynamic, with minimal intervention in the vineyard and in the cellar, a very low level of sulfur; all this generates particularly complex wines with a great freshness.
Tom Shoobbrok owns 9 hectares south of his small winery at Seppeltsfield, where he grows Syrah, Merlot, and Mourvèdres on alluvial shale and red soil. In his estate Tom also raises sheep and lambs (about 500 per year!).
