J.J. Confuron

Jean Jacques Confuron vineyard

In 1988 Alain and Sophie Meunier began to manage the domain that was Sophie's father's: until then, they knew little or nothing  about the vine and the wine. However, they shared the taste of well-made things and from then on they realized that wine borns in vineyard. In order to respect the typical nature of every terroir, the vineyard is just worked with natural products since 1990. Some small vineyards are worked with the horse, a slow and expensive work, but that respects the soil favoring the airing and the micro oxygenation. Six wines are imported from the Domaine: three villages, one chambolle, one côte de nuits and one saint georges nuits, wine classified as 1er cru (the nuits saint georges les chauboeufs) and two grand cru wines: the clos du vougeot and the romanée st vivant.
