Jerome Galeyrand

Jerome Galeyrand

Jerome Galeyrand has succeeded where many others have failed, changing his life and cultivating vineyards in that whispered and unpretentious part of Burgundy. Originally from the Loire Valley, he worked for several years in the de l'formation trade to then make a couple of harvests with Alain Burguet in Gevrey Chambertin where he decided to become an oenologist is his path and he enrolled at the Beaune Institute of Oenology. Since 2002, his cellar has been located in Brochon, near the Municipality of Fixin, with the possibility of cultivating and making wine from grapes coming from the Municipalities of Marsannay, Gevrey-Chambertin, Fixin. Jerome cultivates with competence and discretion by concentrating all his work on the land and for the land. Of course, to make a great wine, three elements must be brought together: a great terroir, the DNA of a grape variety with a remarkable genetic heritage, a winemaker to be respected and served Together. To do all this, the winemaker in the cellar does not use industrial yeast, collars, enzymes, just the addition of a few sulphites. The vineyard is cultivated in organic and biodynamic cultivation. The vines are plowed, the harvest is manual and the lunar cycles are respected. Jerome Galeyrand's wines have a texture, a silkiness, a depth that allows you to truly appreciate the great complexity of this ancestral terroir.
