Oinea Domaine
The winery is a new production venture within an emerging area of remarkable potential. It's located in Amyndeo, in the Macedonian region of northern Greece, a hilly landscape at the foothills of a rich and diverse mountain system, characterized by predominantly calcareous-sandy soils, swept by northern winds yet tempered by the presence of two lakes that act as thermal regulators. Three hectares of vineyards are cultivated, yielding an average of around 15,000 bottles per year, following the principles of biodynamic agriculture: minimal intervention, gravity-driven operations, spontaneous fermentations, and meticulous attention to every stage of the process form the foundation of a production that stands out for its quality and originality. The grape varieties grown include: Xinomavro, Assyrtiko, Limniona, Negoska, and Chardonnay. The surprising balance and elegance found in the glass further confirm the growing international critical acclaim for this highly promising terroir.
